WINGO< MARY V., age 78, of Ashville, died Thursday, October 2, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ellis J. Wingo, and son Steve Wingo. She is survived by her son, Michael Wingo (Kim), daughters, Sheila Ashley (Danny), and Becky Williams (Tommy); brother, Frankie Smith, sisters, Louise Iverson, Gloria Funderburg, and Ann Harrison: 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Ashville Church of God. The family gives special thanks to her many friends at the Village of Cook Springs.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday, October 4, 2008 from 1 - 2 P.M. at Rideout's Trussville Chapel. the service will begin at 2 P.M. with Brother richard Ashley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
