Left 9 children, including Polly Wingo - wife of William. He received a Revolutionary War Pension. Served 15 years in Continental Army as an Indian spy. Revolutionary War Pension # S5746. Pension executed on 9/24/1832 while he lived in Tazewell County, Virginia.
He , along with his son John and son-in-law William Wingo were in the 2'nd Battalion, 112'nd Regiment, Tazewell County Milita in July, 1803.
His Will was probated in Tazewell County in April, 1837. Will Book #2, page 99. It was subsequently proved to be true and correct after it was contested by William Wingo and his wife.
