WINGO, MR. JAMES A.., age 78, of Homewood, AL, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2001. He attended Georgia Tech and Auburn University. He also was a Lieutenant in the U. S. Air Force and the Air National Guard.
Survivors include three sons, James A. Wingo, Jr., Taylor B. Wingo, and Thomas C. Wingo; two daughters, Martha Ann Denson and Alice McPherson; 14 grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2001 at 11:00 AM at Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Pat Wingo officiating. Family will receive friends, Friday, August 31, 2001 from 6-8 PM at Rideout's Valley Chapel. In liew of flowers, the family requests memorials to Unity Hospice, 2145 Highland Ave., Suite 110, Birmingham, AL. 35205. Pallbearers will be the grandsons, Will Denson, Jr., Chancey Wingo, Jamie Wingo, James A. Wingo, III, Lance Corporal Taylor B. Wingo, Jr., Christopher Wingo and John A. Denson.
A member in good standing of the Carlisle Social Club.
