Judge & Reverand Willis HAYS

Haysville, Indiana was named for Willis Hays. He bought land in 1818 and was the first merchant. He donated some of the land for the town. He was a leading citizen and from 1839 to 1845 he was an associate judge1839-1845 in the 4th Indiana Circuit. He was also a minister in the M E Church and a Probate Judge.
