Joseph and Bathsheba were married by William Brown, Justice.Death
He died when he was only 43 years but still left five sons and a considerable estate for his widow to administer.After Joseph died, the first three sons were taken under guardianship, John by his grandfather James, and Joseph and James by their mother. Those three are named in James' will recorded in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Bathsheba applied for administration of Joseph's estate. Inventory: L3840-16s
