Event
Casper and Elizabeth formed and ran a distillery in Scott Co, KY in 1813. They moved on to Salt River Twnshp, Ralls Co, MO, in 1830.Casper had 117 acres on South Elkhorn Creek near the industrial village called "Sodom". (That Troublesome Parish)
On moving to Missouri, Casper was postmaster for a time at Cincinnati Landing on the Salt River. Casper's desk, which he used during this period, and other family memenoes, have been donated to the Mark Twain Museum by the current family historian, Joseph Hardy.
