Marriage
He (Henry Fowler) married Rebecca, daughter of Abraham Newell of Roxbury, Mass., who probably accompanied the Foote family to Providence, as she was married in the Foote home. The Roxbury land records show that the Newell family owned land next to that of the Footes at Roxbury. It may be , and could be , that Rebecca Newell went to live for a time with the Foote family at Providence, and that she was married from the Foote home, and not her own, for that reason.! Abraham Newell , Sr. and his family settled early in Roxbury. He died there June 13, 1672, aged 91. His wife was buried ........., 1682, aged about 100. Abraham Newell, SR., did not mention his daughter in his will: only his sons and one son-in-law. The marriages of his sons Abraham, Jr., Jacob, Isaac, and daughter Grace are given in the Roxbury Vital Records: also births of his son's children. Abraham, Jr., and Isaac Newell had each a daughter Rebecca, and Jacob had a daughter Grace. Henry and Rebecca (Newell) Fowler had daughters Grace , Rebecca, and Newell Fowler.
