LEVERING FAMILYHISTORY AND GENEALOGY.
BY COL. JOHN LEVERING, OF LAFAYETTE, INDIANA,
JACOB4: b. about 1723, in Roxb.; m. Elizabeth (???). He
d. prior to 1807. Mr. Jones says of him: "He built, in
1753, a house on the tract of land devised to him by his
father, situated on the south side of the Ridge Road; it
is now (1858) owned and occupied by Charles Righter.
Among the witnesses to his brother William's marriage
were Elizabeth and Jacob Levering, and I hence infer that
they were this Jacob and his wife. I think he afterwards
resided in Philadelphia."
