5 Aug 1704; Indenture from James Tyer, planter, and Margaret his wife to Robert Yates, Gent.; for 5,000* tobacco Heard 's Mountain of 150 acres, land which on 2 Jan 1682 John Ward and Susannah his wife conveyed to James Tyer; 26 Jul 1686 by his will James Tyer conveyed 150 acres to his sons James Tyer and John Tyer; James survived his brother and became sole owner. James and Margerett Tyer also conveyed 50 acres of tract called Arabia, and O'Neal's Desert of 700 acres (CCLR Z#1.134 & O2.50)
