Court Record, Page 15—1st July, 1746: This Court grant Adms. on the estate of Samuel Whitmore, late of Middletown, unto Samuel Whitmore, son of the sd. decd., who gave bonds with Seth Whitmore of Middletown of £500. Page 28—15 November, 1746: Pursuant to an act of the General Assembly holden at New Haven on the 2nd Thursday of October, 1746, Samuel Whitmore, Adms. on the estate of Samuel Whitmore of Middletown, is directed to sell so much of the real estate of the sd. deceased as will procure the sum of £172-06-11 with the necessary charges of the sale, taking the advice of the Court of Probate in the District of Hartford therein.
