John Pike was graduated from Harvard College in 1675Event
came to Dover in November 1678. He followed John Reyner, theyounger, as minister of the church in Dover. He was a man of unusual ability and Mr. Jeremy Wise of Berwick writes
"He never preached a sermon but was worthy of the press." According to his Journal the family seems to have been
continually on the move.
