Birth
Anthony was born at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains in Loudoun county, Virginia, and was but a mere boy when he enlisted in the patriot army. After the war he resided in Virginia, near the plantation of General Washington, with whom he was personally acquainted.Endnotes
