As he was an active member of the Society of Friends, and was Treasurer of the Abington Meeting for forty years, and also served as Justice of the Peace2 for Bucks, 1715; was chosen Member of Assembly,3 1714. Elizabeth, his first wife, died 5 June, 1707, and he married, secondly, Margaret, widow of John Jones ;4 died 1726-7.
