Page 115. At the request of Clement Kennedy, the following deed was recorded on Sep 1, 1746.
Aug 14, 1746 from Benjamin Mankester of CC, planter, and Margaret, his wife, daughter of George Thomas of CC, deceased, to Clement Kennedy of CC, cooper, for divers good causes and for 30,000 lbs tobacco, a tract of land called Thomas Port, taken up by sd George Thomas, and patented to sd George on Nov 7, 1733, and devised by sd Thomas in his will to his abovesd daughter, Margaret. The land is in CC on the east side of Potomack River, bounded by a cliff by the river called the Salt Clift, a parcel of land called Milford, now in possession of Mr. John Stoddart, containing and laid out for about 226 acres.
