Military Governor of Island of Portland where he built Pennsylvania Castle. The Castle was formally opened by the princess Elizabeth (dau of George III) in 1800. (His mother had been Lady-in-Waiting to her mother (Queen Charlotte), and her (Elizabeth's) own Governess.)
