Judge Alden at his office this afternoon in the presence of a few invited guest.

Mrs. W. R. Hower died at her home in Park Rapids, Sunday, the cause of death being heart failure. Mrs. Hower was about the home as usual all day until evening, eating as usual and did not complain of feeling sick. Shortly after the supper hour she was taken suddenly ill and died within an hour. Mrs. Hower was 49 years of age. She leaves one child besides her husband, to mourn her loss, with other relatives. The funeral was held from the Baptist church on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. H. R. McKee preaching the sermon, and interment was made at Greenwood cemetery.
