Marriage
From "Vital Records of Swansea, Massachusetts to 1850," p. 246: "George Sisson Juner of Worrin and Bethany Luther of Swanzey were Joined in the Covenant of Marriage on the 10 day of June 1781 by me David Peirce Justice of Peace." (Note: in those days, "Jr." might be used if George was the younger of two George Sissons in the area, not necessarily father and son.)Death
Burial: City Hill Cemetery, Torrey Township, Yates Co., NYBethany's headstone reads "In Memory of Bethana Sisson who died August 16th, 1812 in the 52nd year of her age." However, the "1812" is squeezed into the writing area. Bethany's newspaper obituary appeared in the August 21, 1811, issue of the Geneva Gazette:
