1777 March 8, Tunison, Philip, of Raritan, Somerset, NJ, yeoman; will of. Eldest son, Cornelius, L5. Sons, Cornelius, James, John Abraham, Bernardus and Philip, the farm on which I live, except the part I bought of Titus Dewitt, of 14 acres, which I give to my daughters, Anne, Rebeccah, Nelly and Deborah. Land to remain in possession of my wife, Deborah, while my widow, or till Philip is 21. The farm devised to me by my father, Cornelius Tunison, to be sold. Executors -- wife, Deborah, sons, Cornelius and James, and friend, Fredrick Frelinghaysen. Witnesses -- Cornelius Tunison, Cornelius Tunison, tertius, John Hardenberg. Proved April 29, 1777.1777 April 14. Inventory, L779.11.7, made by Cornelius Tunison and Dirck Middagh. "One horse, pressed in the Continental Services, L17, not paid."
