Ralph COWGILL came to America under contract of employment with Randolph Blackshaw, whose daughter he subsequently married.Biographical Sketch
The families of Cowgill and Blackshaw settled in Bucks county, PA. In 1694, Ralph Cowgill purchased of his father-in-law one hundred and twelve acres of land in Falls Township, and later sold it to Joseph Kirkbride. About the time of his second marriage to Susanna Pancoast, Ralph Cowgill removed to Burlington county, NJ and is supposed to have continued there until his death.Endnotes
