Biographical Sketch
Archibald SILVER, Sr., was an early settle in Burlington county, NJ, where, also, his brothers, James and John, settled. By deed of 10 October 1686, Archibald purchased from Governor Byllinge one hundred acres of land, located on the south side of the north branch of Rancocas Creek, adjoining land of Dr. Robert Dimsdale, and on 10 May 1695, he sold the same to James Smith. In the deed to Smith, SILVER is styled "of Northampton Township, Burlington County, planter." About the time of this conveyance, he removed to Mannetob Creek, Salem County and died there in 1703, leaving personal estate valued at over one hundred and ninety pounds.Endnotes
