Marriage
"Whereas Thomas LIPPINCOTT of Chester Twp. in the county of Burlington in the West division of New Jersey in America and Marcy [sic] (ALLEN) Middleton Hugg (widow) late of the county of Gloucester but now of Burlington, having declared their intentions of marriage before several monthly meetings of the people called Quakers at Burlington . . . having the consent of parents, friends and relations . . . were allowed to marry by the said meetings. Know these are to certify to whom it may concern that on the nineteenth day of the second month in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty-two . . . Thomas LIPPINCOTT and Marcy Hugg became husband and wife." [paraphrased]Witnesses included: Hugh Sharp, Rachel Sharp, Samuel Lippincott, Freedom Lippincott, Elizabeth Lippincott, Nathaniel Lippincott, Thomas Middleton and Rebecca Middleton.
