Joseph SHINN left the Society of Friends, probably as a result of the defection of George Keith, and became one of the charter communicants of St. Andrew's in Mount Holly, Burlington, NJ, and had all of his children baptized there on 30 May 1746 by the Rev. Colin Campbell.Will
