Remembrance Lippincott

Remembrance had received a gift in the ministry which was usefully exercised. His friends summed up his life in a few words: "Remembrance Lippincott was a clerk of our Monthly and Quarterly Meetings many years. A diligent attendant of our meetings for worship; his labour was acceptable to Friends."
The descendants of Remembrance through his sons, Richard and William, were numerous.

Baptism
Although Remembrance LIPPINCOTT was baptized in infancy in the Puritan Church, he was reared in the Society of Friends, became one of its ministers and was clerk of the Monthly and Quarterly Meeting of Shrewsbury for many years.Emigration
Remembrance LIPPINCOTT was a farmer and a large landowner and served in several public employments. In 1701 he was a petitioner to the King, asking that the government of East Jersey be taken under the crown, should the Proprietors of the province not appoint a suitable person as governor.Will
