Death

Alphonsus Furr was born in Loveland, Colorado on November 12, 1938, and passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, in Lodi, California. He attended Colorado State University and enlisted in the army in 1960. He relocated to California in 1981. He moved to Lodi in 1985. He had a long career as a Mortgage Broker and also owned Acorn Financial. His final years he worked at World Savings and retired at age 70. He was very active in Stockton Morning Rotary, Sirs and Knights of Columbus. He and his wife Lee enjoyed boating in the Delta and San Francisco Bay. He was also a member of the Stockton Yacht Club. After his retirement one could always find him working in the yard with his passion for gardening. He was also a member of Saint Anne's Church and took pride in being a greeter. He always wore a suit and tie even on the hottest summer days. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Lee Geldert Furr, son Steven (Fatima), two sisters, Mary Wilkerson and Alberta Winslow, stepchildren Lisa, Brad, and Lynn Geldert, and five grandchildren.
