Death
Betty C. Furr, a longtime resident of Mountain View, died Friday at St. Rose Hospital in Mountain View after a lengthy illness. She was 61. Mrs. Furr, a native of West Virginia, worked as an apartment manager at Tyrella Arms in Mountain View for 11 years. She is survived by her husband, Rondall Furr of Mountain View; three daughters, Barbara Adams of Fremont, Jamie Lee Furr of Mountain View and Joanne Ewings of San Jose; her mother, Mable Arthur of West Virginia; three sisters, Maxine Weaver of Arizona and Janette Kirby and Margie Kirby of Ohio; a brother, Warren Arthur of West Virginia; and six grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Roller & Hapgood & Tinney, 980 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. Interment will follow at Alta Mesa Memorial Park, Palo Alto.The Peninsula Times Tribune, Palo Alto, California, May 24, 1988
