Willie Mae Schoenian of Naples, Florida, went home to be with her Lord on December 12, 2025, at the age of 88, being held by her beloved girls. Her life was a beautiful testimony of faith, love, and joy, and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Born in Shenandoah, Virginia, Willie Mae carried her Southern warmth and strength throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Raleigh T. and Ruth Marie Humphries and by her devoted husband, Richard C. Schoenian, whom she loved deeply and now rejoices to be reunited with in Heaven. Willie Mae was a woman of steadfast faith who loved the Lord with her whole heart. Her church was her second home, and First Naples Baptist Church held a very special place in her life. She loved to do devotions with her girls and her long-time caregiver, Ro Ro, every morning. She found great joy in worship, fellowship, and serving God's people. Her bright smile would light up a room and she always asked of people she met, "Are you a hugger?". She found great joy in worship, fellowship, and serving God's people, living out her faith daily with kindness, prayer and unwavering trust in Him. She was the proud and loving mother of her daughters, Robin Fraser (husband Gary), and Ruth Furr (husband Richard, deceased). Her greatest earthly joy was her family and she had a very special bond with her girls who were her life. She delighted in every generation that followed. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Eric Fraser (Hayley), Ricky Furr (Amy) and Danielle Furr; and her treasured great-grandchildren: Parker Fraser, Jordan Fraser, and Carter Fraser, each of whom brought her immeasurable happiness. Willie Mae is also survived by her brother Wayne Humphries (wife T) and her nieces, Tracy and her family, Amanda, and her cherished nephew Mark Humphries (wife Jessica) along with their children Jacob and Cora Joy, who were especially dear to her heart. Life with Willie was full of movement, laughter, and music. She was an avid roller skater, loved riding her bike around Crystal Lake, and could often be found line dancing with a smile that lit up the room. She embraced life with energy and enthusiasm reminding everyone around her that joy is a gift meant to be shared. Above all, Willie Mae will be remembered for her deep love – for her family, her church, and her Savior. Her faith never wavered, and her life reflected the grace she believed in so fully. While her absence is deeply felt, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace, dancing and rejoicing in the presence of the Lord she loved so much.
