Joseph C. Clegg
(Abt 1843 - 21 May 1863)
Joseph C. Clegg served the Union Army in the Civil War by enlisting in the 77th Illinois Infantry Volunteer Regiment. He was killed in the Battle of Vicksburg and buried in the Vicksburg National cemetery. There is a memorial inscription to Joseph on the same stone as his parents in the Minonk Township cemetery in Minonk, Woodford Co., Illinois.
