Individual Details
John Nuthall I
(Abt 1477 - Aft 1506)
From Ancestors and Descendants of John Nunthall of Cross Manor (in my files):
Robert Glover, Somerset Herald in the College of Arms, during the Visitation at Cheshire in 1580, recorded of John NUTHALL I, "17 E. 4." This means that John NUTHALL I was either born or known to have been alive in the seventeenth year of the reign of Edward IV. Of this information, John NUTHALL II was Glover’s source. Since Edward IV was proclaimed monarch on 4 March 1461, the seventeenth year of his reign began on 4 March 1477, thus proposing 1477 as the possible year of birth for John NUTHALL I. Edward IV died 9 April 1483. See The Visitation at Cheshire of 1580: Nuthall of Cattenhall, in my files.
