Is said to have gone to Canada, but according to late Dr. J. L. Masters of Indpls., Christopher went to Indiana in 1833. Upon his arrival there he signed his name "masters" but did not write the "s" to his name until about 1840. After that he signed his name "Masters" more and more, until he finally wrote it thus always. All his descendants write their names "Masters".
"Franklin County History" states that Christopher Masters and Mary Kirling Masters came to Franklin County in 1833.
