Several "Leases for Life" (copies in my files) were issued from George William Fairfax to Martin men in Loudoun Co., Virginia as follows:

12 Sep 1765 George William Fairfax to William Martin, 140 acres during the natural lives of said William Martin, John Martin, and William Martin his son, and the longest liver of them. (I'm not sure how these men connect)

1 Apr 1785 George William Fairfax to John Martin, 102 acres to John Martin, his heirs and assigns for and during the natural lives of Joshua Martin, John Martin, and Robert Shipley Martin, his sons.

8 Jun 1787 George William Fairfax to John Martin Jr., 130 acres to John Martin Jr. his heirs and assigns and during the lives of John Martin, Lydia Martin his present wife and Robert Shipley Martin son to John Martin Sr.
