Edward Peeresonne

(Abt 1585 - 25 Jul 1648)

All information on descendants of Edward from Wilmslow Parish registers, on microfilm.

NOTES : I know some of these dates don't fit. Children were commonly christened soon after birth. However, if the weather was bad, if father was busy with work, or mother was ill, the christening took place whenever they could make the trip to the Parish church. Sometimes a child was christened in an adjoining parish while they were visiting relatives, or doing business there. The father on all the above christenings was listed as Ed Peeres, or Edward Peeresonne.

There were other men named Edward (abbreviated Ed.), and Edmund (abbreviated Edmd.) in Wilmslow Parish, but they did not list the same township as home.

These other men did not start having children till 1610. The surname is always spelled by the clerk of the parish as "Pierson" before 1576. Then there was a new clerk, who spelled it "Peeresonne", or abbreviated it as "Peeres". Lawrence's name was spelled "Pierson" during his adult life.

Based on my research in Parish registers.
