Note N122 New Zealand Herald 14th October 1929 page : 14 FIFTY YEARS AGOSir; may I add a few more to this “Lost Legion” of the Jessie Readman landing here on September 26th 1879. My father and mother came from Belfast with their family of eight. My mother is still here and remembers Captain Gibson well; and not very far from her are seven of those children, five being in New Zealand and two in Australia.
