Extract from The Courier-Mail: Mr. Arthur Minton, who held ticket No. 12279. which won 1000 pounds in tho No. 5 Mammoth Golden Casket, told a representative of The Courier-Mail how he and other members of the "Friday, 13th" Syndicate had just completed the first item on the main evening programme from Station 4QG, and were resting in the reception room, when Mr. D. Felsman, programme manager, advised him of his good fortune. Included in the syndicate were several of Brisbane's' best known musicians. It was during three weeks of casual work as a member of the "Tdui Paris" orchestra at His Majesty's Theatre, in November, that Mr, Minton and other musicians Mr. and Mrs. Leo Benvenuti, Charles Groves, T. Waldron, L. Lammachl, "Bobby" Gibson, Arthur Griffiths, J. Fidlon, and J. Doherty and E. Ambler decided to Invest in the ticket which proved so profitable. Nine of them will receive 100 pound each and two will get 50 pound.
