This is the woman I called Nettie Flanagan
Nettie was fondly regarded by Zena, Von and Sadie. When she stayed at Southport when they were children she was older and the girls were very interested in her clothes in particular. Ted WHELAN was also very fond of Nettie.
Email from Wendy Van Lathum dated 6 Nov 2003: "My mother Barbara rang early this morning to tell me some sad news Aunty Netty had a minor stroke Sunday night and then a worse stroke on Monday night and she's in a coma. Netty had broken her hip about a month ago, not long after Kathryn (her daughter) put her in a nursing home in Brisbane."
Telephone message from Zena on Monday 10 Nov 2003: "Nettie passed away. Service Wednesday."
After cremation her ashes are to be taken to Rockhampton.
Letter from Zena dated 14 Nov 2003: "Nettie passed away 11.30 pm Friday 7th November at the Masonic Aged Care Home, Sandgate. Cremated Deception Bay (private cremation) think Wednesday 12th Nov. Memorial Service Rockhampton Thurs. 13th Nov '03. Ashes taken to Rockhampton with songs and flowers she like."
