From the Kendal Mercury 27 Jan 1866 court reports found in British newspapers on line archive.A William Craghill was up before the magistrates. It appears he was apprenticed to Winder and Gibson but they dissolved their partnership. Winder claimed William as apprentice but his father preferred Gibson. The magistrates considered the boy to work for Winder
