William CASON

(Bet 1706 and 1721 - )

Occupation: Shoemaker
Roy MASSICKS has a transcript of the records of the bastardry case from the Lancaster Quarter Sessions in 1738.
Roy says: We met Averil Willis (nee CASON). Her ancestor WILLIAM CASON was the father of the bastard child. WILLIAM was a Shoemaker. (dirty clogger !) and his house was opposite DAVID the Tanner's house which I have included in attachments. WILLIAM'S is the one very run down one with the steps leading up to the door. Old buildings in the district like this are usually snapped up when they come on the market, obviously the present owner does not wish to sell.
