Lindsay says, "Stephen Love has been married twice. His first wife was Anne Cherry. They were married in St John`s church Brisbane on the third of February 1855. To date I have found two children of that marriage Mary Anne and Jane. These two were only about 12 months apart. Jane was born in Brisbane 2/09/1856. Anne came from County Clare, Ireland . Then by about 1866 Stephen married an Amelia Poundt. To date I have found limited information on Anne Cherry eg. death , divorce or inquest. I have heard that they had an altercation with some Aboriginal people. Stephen was listed in the 1889 & 1892 electoral rolls as being a storekeeper at Loganlea."
