Had surgery for bowel cancer with a colostomy in 2005. (Did not report blood in faeces for 6 months.) Bladder not in a good state either.
Robyn says: We were saddened to lose John - his burial in Charters Towers on the 11th. He had a 9 year battle with his bowel cancer and subsequent organ failures and for him, a blessed release, and I for one would not wish him back to suffer that way. He was blessed with a wonderful wife, 3 children and 4 grandchildren and by living in Townsville, close to medical attention, was able to be with them all over the last couple of years. Gail intends to remain there. What else would she do?
