Booked on 'The Talbot" which sailed from Southampton on 21st May 1857. The shipping list reveals Thomas to be a Wesleyan; he could read and write; and was 27 years old. Frances, or Fanny, was also a Wesleyan, could read only and her age was given as 21 years. Ann was aged 3. Tha Talbot anchored in Port Henry, Geelong on 25 August 1857.
