Elizabeth's passage to Australia was paid for by M. Marshall and her occupation was listed as "Nurserymaid" on the ship's records. She left London and Plymouth on board the ship "Lady McNaughton" and disembarked at Sydney, N.S.W. on the 16th of December 1840. She was 22 years old and at this time her mother was still living, and her father deceased. A bounty of 19.0.0d (19 Pound) was paid on her arrival in Sydney (From a copy of her Entitlement Certificate).
