The wedding took place at Hooton Parish Church on Saturday of Miss Jean Sylvia Lee, only daughter of Mrs. N. L. Lee, of "Prissa," 9, Southfield Road, Little Sutton, and the late Mr. H. A. Lee, and Mr. Ian Edward McGarvie, only son of Mr. and Mrs. G. T. McGarvie, of 8, Sandringham-terrace, The Esplanade, Greencock, Renfrewshire.
The Rev. A. J. Birch officiated at the ceremony.
The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. Cecil Lee, wore a gown of white satin cut on classic lines and trimmed with silver lame. She has elbow-length veil and carrie a bouquet of pink roses.
Cousins of the bride, Mis Glenys Lewis and Miss Eira Lewis were in attendance as bridesmaids.
They wore white lawn dresses patterned with blue roses and with which they wore blye sashes. They carried bouquets of pink and white roses.
A reception for 50 guests was held at the Carlton Cafe. For the occasion the brie's mother wore a powder blue patterned tow-piece with navy and white accessories.
The bridegroom's mother chose an ensemble of royal blue with which she wore shite accessories.
Leaving later for the honeymoon, venue of which was not disclosed, the bride wore a white coat and navy accessories.
