Thelma received her education in the Brooklyn, Ia., schools and her BA from Wm. Penn College at Oskaloosa, Ia. She taught school for a number of years, first south of Brooklyn in a rural school and later in Cooper School, Grinnell,Ia. She married Harold in the home of her parents in Madison Township.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, WSCS, Kum-Joy-Nus Class and a 50 year member of the Beborah Rebekah Lodge.
