Malcolm Manlove NewlinObituary
Malcolm Manlove "Max" Newlin Age 91, was born September 15, 1913, the youngest of seven children of Irving W. and Phoebe A. (Henley) Newlin. He was the father of Cynthia Newlin Trebing (Bob), Ron Newlin, and Terry Newlin (Vicki). A son, David Newlin, and grandchildren Melinda and Tony preceded him in death. A lifelong resident of Carmel, Max owned and operated a well drilling business for many years. On June 5, 1937 he was united in marriage with Mary Alyce Mundy who preceded him in death in 1999. He is survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He was a Mason for 68 years, a Past Master, and secretary for 12 years, of Carmel Lodge #421 Free & Accepted Masons. Family and friends will gather at the Leppert Life Story Funeral Home, Smith Carmel Chapel on Sunday February 27th from 3 to 6 p.m., where a Masonic Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Also at the funeral home, a service will be held on Monday, February 28th at 10 a.m. You are invited to visit: www.lifestorynet.com where you can read Max's life story, share a personal memory, arrange for flowers or make a memorial contribution to the Carmel Clay Historical Foundation.
