Death Notice
Heaven is now under construction. A little brighter (new lights installed), a little warmer (furnace running smoothly) and time for a hot coffee (triple cream, triple sugar, triple sweetener) or maybe a cold Coors Light. It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Paul Mino at Trillium Villa Nursing Home at the age of 77. He fought hard and is now at peace. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Marion (Steward) Mino; children, Janice (Derek) Ewing, Ken (Chantal) Mino and Lynne (Shawn Antosiak) Mino, of Sarnia, and Brian (Laura) Mino of St. Catharines; grandchildren, Ryleigh Ewing, Alexis and Adam Mino, Connor, Jack & Grace Antosiak, and Christopher & Emily Mino; sisters, Anne Luciantonio and Liz (Wayne)Teft of Sarnia; brothers, Joe (Pauline) Mino of Sarnia, and John (Carol) Mino of Muncie, Indiana; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Larry Gagnon, Ernie & Marie Steward, and Elsie & Ron Urry; and by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by sister, Mary Gagnon and brother-in-law, Leo Luciantonio. Paul was a co-owner of L&M Heating and more recently a member of Local 539, Sheet Metal Workers' Union. Paul enjoyed spending time with his faithful dog Baxter and getting together with good friends for his weekly bowling game. He will be missed by all the lives he touched and was such a wonderful part of. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Friday, January 6, 2017, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Benedicts Roman Catholic Church, 1011 Oak Ave., Sarnia, on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.
