"There is a record of a protest by Peter Cantrell, in 1806, in reference to the settlement of the estate of his father, Isaac Cantrell. Peter Cantrell died intestate and in the settlement of his estate mention is made of his wife, Sarah, and the following children and grandchildren, as heirs-at-law.
