"Harriet Potter married Charles Franklin Simmons, June 5, 1872. In 1879 he and his family moved to St. Louis, where he was president of the Simmons Medicine Company. He was an active member of the Methodist church, and interested in Sunday school work, being assistant superintendent of St. John's Sunday School, the largest Sunday School in St. Louis. In 1890 he and his family moved to Texas, where he has a number of large ranches, and is largely interested in the real estate business. They live at San Antonio."
