Squire Jas. P. Redman, aged 74 years died at his home near Keltonburg Sunday morning, following an illness of short duration. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, conducted by Elder J. L. Little, and burial was in the family cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Maggie Walker Redman; three daughters, Mrs. Henry Cantrell and Mrs. Jesse Adcock of Keltonburg and Mrs. William H. Moss of Silver Point; eight sons, Austin, Thurman, Clarence, Kelley, Don, Monroe Redman near Keltonburg, Lem Redman of Dibrell and Evan Redman of Georgia; mother, Mrs. Martha Redman who is 94 years old, of Keltonburg; four sisters, Mrs. Jim Adcock, Mrs. Craff Ranhorn, Mrs. Chris Wright and Mrs. Jack Brane, all of the Keltonburg community; three brothers, John, Chris and Felix Redman, also of near Keltonburg. Mr. Redman, a valued member of the DeKalb County Court for more than twenty years, was a man of wide influence for good in his community. KELTONBURG Mr. J. P. Redmon, one of our substantial citizens and a member of our county court for more than twenty years, died early Sunday morning and was buried Sunday afternoon in the Redmon cemetery. The funeral was conducted by Eld. Little at the home. He was 74 years of age. He was a consistent member of the Baptist Church at Old Bildad. He leaves to mourn, his wife, 3 daughters, 8 sons, 3 brothers, four sisters, his mother, who is 94 years old, several grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
