"Terrell Addison Cantrell was born in Hall County, Georgia, January 21, 1832. Married (1) Mary Trice, daughter of Thomas Trice, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and his wife Sarah Harrison, of Virginia. Thomas Trice was a Baptist minister. Married (2) the widow of Edward Peabody, nee, Florence Douglas. She died _______. Terrell was a member of Company I, 4th Georgia Regiment, which left Augusta, April 29, 1861, for Norfolk, Virginia. He was a captain in the Confederate army and in active service until May 1865, except when he was in a hospital, on account of a wound received while in service on the James River. He resided for a number of years at Columbus, Georgia, and now lives at Marietta, Georgia (1907)." (THE CANTRILL - CANTRELL GENEALOGY, 1908, by Susan Cantrill Christie, page 28.)
