"YOUNG WOMAN DIES AT JEFFERSON --- Mrs. Sterling Cantrell, 27 years old, died last Wednesday at the home of her parents, Squire and Mrs. J. H. Barnes, after a long illness.
Funeral services were held Thursday at Jeffrson, conducted by Revs. Felix Cantrell and Frank Watson, and burial was in the Jefferson cemetery. Besides her parents she is survived by her husband and one child, and a number of other relatives, who are joined by her many friends in sorrow because of the going away of this young woman. R. R. Herndon in charge of funeral arrangements." (October 26, 1939.)
