Morris Dee Garrett

Morris Dee Garrett was killed in action aboard the U.S.S. Hopkins. He was a gunner on the USS Hopkins. He was killed when a Japanese plane that he helped shot down fell on the ship. Most of the crew jumped overboard but he stayed with his gun. According to his mother, the wing of the plane hit him in the head, killing him instantly.
